Neurosis coming to an end! YAY!

So, as many of you have know I have said many prayers aboutthe following three topics.

1)     My Naot (hiking) sandals

2)     My backpack ie my home for the next year

3)     Getting vaccines

Today I can confidently let you know my neurosis about thesesubjects is coming to a close.

1)My Shoes: I picked up my Naot sandals from David’s Shoe repairwhere I had them custom sized for only $30! This proved the point anything ispossible and nothing is too much $$ for comfort and proper support for my back!

2) My backpack: I looked at REI in the states this past weekand got a bit discouraged-prices high features very low, but I now spent 2hours with Eli (the poor unfortunate soul who had to fit my pack for me) and Ihave decided on this 70 litre pack with a 10 litre detachable day pack. Iwalked out of MEC with a bill of only $475.00 after buying a pack, a sleepingbag and some universal adaptors for my electronics. I think I will name my pack...you know since we will be spending such intimate time together... maybe George orAlfred...those sound more like butler’s names than the name of a back pack...LOL

3) My Shots: so after the majority of my life has beenwrought with medications and illness I have done much research to realize thenegative side effects that vaccines can have on you and so I was VERY hesitantto get any shots. I decided after a consultation with my homeopath to get tetanusand yellow fever. This felt good to make the decision, but I still felt a bitoff about getting the vaccines. I had my bible study pray for me in fact anyonewho would I asked them to pray that I would not get sick and my body would staystrong.

I stopped at the bookstore I meet for bible study at and gotJo the owner to prayer just before going in and then I had to deal with thedoctor who recommended I get a ton of other shots. Once the decision was madethe shot was so quick and I now feel real great it is done! No mangy mosquitoescan give me yellow fever now! YAY!!! Just a final total of $120!

Just another 25 days befor eI fly to South Africa and only 19 before I leave Vancouver for my sister's for a week before I go.

Here is the first of me doing video blogs andeither holding the camera I need to work on the quality I saved the videos with but for a first run I am pleased!
